Performed for Association for India’s Development (AID), as a fund raiser, Ritu-Seasons of Life is an interplay of the seasons of the year and the seasons of our life. A 70 artist team presented Ritu, with live music by Kanniks Kannikeswaran, cross-cultural choreography by the Director, Anupa Mirle and stages of life directed by Srinivas Mirle.

Representative of the rich diversity present in our art forms, literature, peoples and origins, Ritu has compositions from the Rig Veda, Bahgavad Githa, Yajura Veda and the Upanishads; varied styles of dance from Modern dance, to Bharathnatyam, Odissi, Kathak, folk, Ballet and Yoga dance; the Romas who are believed to be descendants of musicians of Indian origin gifted to the Shah of Persia in 5th century AD who are known as ‘gypsies’ in India.
